Wednesday Membership Meeting

PROGRAM: Dr. Debra Almeida “Pilgrims’ Culinary Customs”. Featuring Cindy Reznekervitz in period costume. Participants step back in time to view culinary customs of the Pilgrims in the 1600’s. Debra Almeida, educator, dresses up a volunteer in authentic English wool garments created by her with guidance of a Plimoth Plantation seamstress. Reproductions of actual kitchen wares hold spices and victuals used by the Pilgrims. Learn about the life style and terminology of a Goodwife as she uses her raised garden bed produce and herbs to create her meals.

WAYS AND MEANS: Please remember to sign up for cookie walk, baked goods and candy sale. Other homemade craft items are also accepted. A Yankee Swap will be held for the Dec. meeting (participation optional). Remember to bring something to swap that you wouldn’t mind taking home.
